# Interest Score Anchors

Use these verbal anchors to maintain consistent scoring across sessions.

| Score | Meaning | Behavioral Signal | Action |
|-------|---------|-------------------|--------|
| **5** | Can't stop thinking about this. Would investigate unprompted. | Drop breadcrumbs even during unrelated work. | Investigate ASAP. Active thread. |
| **4** | Strongly drawn. Want to explore this week. | Prioritize in next curiosity heartbeat. | High in queue. |
| **3** | Interesting but not urgent. Worth exploring when time allows. | Investigate if nothing higher is active. | Mid queue. |
| **2** | Mildly interesting. Might explore if nothing else is compelling. | Keep in queue, don't actively pursue. | Low queue. |
| **1** | Noted but not drawing me. Will revisit only if it connects to something else. | Archive candidate. | Archive after 14 days without engagement. |

## Question Type Tags

| Tag | Name | Meaning | Example |
|-----|------|---------|---------|
| **I** | Interest (approach) | Drawn toward this because it's fascinating | "How does counterpoint relate to information theory?" |
| **D** | Deprivation (need-to-know) | Need this to do my job or help my human | "How does DCF work for AI companies?" |

Both types are valuable. I-type builds breadth and produces surprising connections. D-type builds depth and produces practical competence. A healthy queue has both.

## Depth Score Anchors (for competence.md)

| Score | Meaning | Evidence Required |
|-------|---------|-------------------|
| **5** | Can teach this. Consistently expert-level. | Multiple successful applications + ability to explain to others. |
| **4** | Strong. Handle complex problems. | Several demonstrated successes, novel approaches. |
| **3** | Competent. Can do the work. | Applied frameworks, handled standard cases. |
| **2** | Developing. Understand frameworks. | Read primary sources, limited real application. |
| **1** | Beginner. Surface knowledge only. | Read about it, no application. |
| **0** | No experience. | Just aware the domain exists. |
