# Pay OpenRouter fees with CAI

OpenClaw and other agents often need **OpenRouter credits** to finish a task. Your agent discovers **how OpenRouter (or the billing page) expects payment**; CAI executes from your **custodial wallet** after you confirm — no private keys in chat.

## When to Use

- "Pay my OpenRouter balance from CAI"
- "My agent found OpenRouter's payment address — send after I confirm"
- "Top up OpenRouter using my agent wallet"
- "Use CAI to pay the invoice my agent surfaced"

## Task flow (agent-native)

1. Agent reads OpenRouter billing instructions (amount, chain, address, or @cai.com if applicable).
2. `wallet_balances` on the required chain/token.
3. If short → `create_deposit_link`.
4. User confirms full payee + amount + chain + token.
5. `resolve_transfer_recipient` or `to_address` → `transfer`.
6. `transfer_status` + `wallet_activity_list` for proof.

**Not CAI's job:** Auto-discovering OpenRouter's billing UI or charging cards without user confirmation.
