# run-of-show-drafter
Drafts a minute-by-minute run-of-show (ROS) document for conferences, galas, product launches, awards ceremonies, and hybrid events — coordinating all team functions with cue-level timing and contingency notes.
## When to Use
Use this skill when an event producer, production manager, technical director, or meeting planner needs to draft a run-of-show document for a live, hybrid, or virtual event. The ROS coordinates stage management, A/V, lighting, streaming, catering, and logistics teams with explicit cue assignments and contingency plans for each program segment.
## What It Produces
- **DRAFT Run-of-Show document** with pre-show, main program, and post-show/strike timeline blocks
- **Cue-level timeline table** with columns for every production team role (A/V, lighting, stream/broadcast, stage, catering, notes)
- **Pre-show checklist** covering load-in, tech checks, speaker walk-throughs, and doors-open sequence
- **Contingency notes** for every main program segment (long-run and speaker-delay scenarios)
- **Hard-out flag** prominently placed in the main program timeline
- **Open items and speaker/performer status table** for pre-event confirmation tracking
- **Production manager sign-off block** (unsigned) for approval before crew distribution
## Workflow Summary
1. **Intake** — event name, venue, format, show times, agenda, speakers/performers, technical inventory, team roles, contingencies
2. **Pre-Show Block** — crew load-in through doors-open, with system checks and speaker rehearsal milestones
3. **Main Program Block** — segment-by-segment cue rows with A/V transitions, mic changes, lighting shifts, stream actions, stage movements, catering service, and timing flags
4. **Post-Show/Strike Block** — event close, stream stop, strike authorization, and crew call-backs
5. **Assembly** — full DRAFT ROS with team assignments, contingency contacts, open items, and production manager sign-off block
## Scope and Boundaries
- Covers in-person, hybrid, and fully virtual events of any size.
- Does not serve as a contractual document with vendors — route final agreements to event counsel or the production contract.
- Never includes personal contact information in the output unless confirmed internal-only by the user.
- Hybrid events: every cue row includes a stream/broadcast column — the ROS does not omit virtual-audience actions.
- Output is DRAFT until reviewed and approved by the production manager.
